Iran Map Pendant | PHA2003 | Persiada
Iran map pendant. This work is traditionally made with hand tools by Iranian artists. The gem material of this work is black calcite stone, which was collected from Majd Abad stone mine near Maroodasht. In the Achaemenid period, this stone was used in the construction of the palaces of Persepolis. This stone has a very high polishing ability, that's why in the Achaemenid era, the Thatcher Palace was called the Mirror Palace, because the Thatcher Palace was made entirely of this type of stone, and the stones of this palace were polished to such an extent that they reflected light like a mirror.
